The ongoing scandal into antisemitism funding in Berlin has a new twist. Joe Chialo - the former CDU culture senator who twice refused to testify before the parliamentary inquiry into the antisemitism grants affair - has now been granted permission to appear as a witness in the criminal investigation against his successor, Sarah Wedl-Wilson.
Any testimony Chialo gives could implicate himself, and he knows it.
