Die Linke politician Ferat Koçak has temporarily stepped back from his duties after a media storm over text messages with Issa Remmo's son. But what are the facts?

On Tuesday, Die Linke Neukölln rep Ferat Koçak announced that he would temporarily step back from his parliamentary duties amid the first real media storm following the party's win on Sunday . And while much of the reporting seems to be focused on repeating the words 'clan boss', 'Die Linke' and 'Neukölln' as close together as possible, it's worth a clearer look at what actually happened.
"I understand that even the appearance of such proximity must be completely dispelled."
