On the evening of August 4, a drone loaded with explosives was discovered in the security zone of Leipzig airport, positioned near several Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft used to transport military aid. Germany has now formally blamed Russia, and announced a package of retaliatory measures.
"Police investigations, the pattern of the attack, and intelligence findings together point clearly to Russian responsibility," Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told reporters on Tuesday.
"Where is the evidence?" Putin asked at a press conference.
