At 36 years old, Hendrik Holt has achieved a lot in his young career. He is considered one of the most brazen fraudsters in recent years, having defrauded foreign energy companies out of €10 million in exchange for wind farms that did not exist. In 2020, he was arrested at Berlin's Hotel Adlon. In 2022, Holt, originally from Haselünne in the Emsland, was sentenced to prison by a court in Osnabrück, and had been serving his term at a correctional facility in Berlin. But now, it appears, he has escaped.
