Big Brother is now watching your late-night döner stop. This month, police are launching a pilot project to use AI-powered video surveillance — something that until now hasn't been deployed in Berlin — to monitor the area around Kottbusser Tor, in an attempt to curb what is known as a crime-ridden area.

This surveillance will spread to the rest of our neighborhoods, naturally to those areas where racist checks and police violence are already commonplace.
